Fallout - New Vegas Infinite Loading Screen (PC) (Help!) (self.Fallout) submitted 1 year ago. by RAV3NCLAW0207 So I've recently started playing Fallout: New Vegas and currently, in Freeside, whenever I'm fast travelling to somewhere or opening up a door to a different location or basically doing anything that prompts up a loading screen, the. NVAC (short for New Vegas Anti Crash) is an NVSE plugin that implements structured exception handling and sanity checking to reduce frequency of game crashes. That said, I make no promises. This isn't a cure-all: it only tries to fix crashes related to access violation exceptions at specific offsets / addresses. Trying to load save 38 led to the bug. I'm guessing it also might have to do with saving while inside the textures - opening that door inside Basincreek Building was never intended. I should also mention I had no mods installed. There are numerous bugs in New Vegas, but this one is by far the worst I've noticed.

So I've recently started playing Fallout: New Vegas and currently, in Freeside, whenever I'm fast travelling to somewhere or opening up a door to a different location or basically doing anything that prompts up a loading screen, the game just stays stuck on the aforementioned loading screen.

Every time this happens I have no other choice but to reboot my PC since even the Task Manager won't open up.Now I know the solution of it is to make a new game and load up a previous save, but this isn't very helpful to me since I can't progress much farther into the game since almost any fast travel/closed door is potentially hiding an infinite loading screen just behind it. Having to reboot my PC for 15+ times in about an hour and not finding anything helpful anywhere else, any help would be really useful for me.BTW I've also tried out disabling Auto Saves and deleting a bunch of old Save Files and also stuff like 'increasing your iPreloadSizeLimit in your FalloutNV.ini file to 52428800' as mentioned in(N.B.: I'm about 20-25 hours into the game and haven't had this issue before I came to Freeside.). It's your lucky day. I am the New Vegas loading screen crash fixer.1)open your task manager. Under 'options', click 'Always on Top.' Now you can at least promptly kill the application.2)But wait, there's more! You won't have to.

Download the 4GB patcher:?This mod came out last year, and it's the first and only mod that kills NV loadscreen crashes dead. The old 4GB.exe didn't help, the old anticrash mods didn't do shit; this actually works. I was even able to activate a bunch of extra NPC mods that used to badly destabilize my game, 0 crashes.
