You likely won’t know his name (barring you hearing it from other Borderlands 2 players),.Basically, there was a young man named Michael Mamaril, he and his friends loved playing Borderlands, and so when Michael died at the age of 22, a friend asked Gearbox for a eulogy done by a Borderlands character. But, they decided to up the ante as it were and not just do the Eulogy, but make Michael a part of the game itself. A truly stirring tribute from a company to a sadly departed gamer.So, game over, right? Because Gearbox was smart and realized that this NPC could be a truly ultimate Easter Egg, so, they gave NPC Michael Mamaril (picture of him above) a very interesting task, to give players a special weapon should they ever find him. Keywords here are “EVER FIND HIM”. Because as word of Michael began to spread among the, everyone began to look for him in the game.
